In light of the the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak’s recent designation as a pandemic, CBC has culled relevant guidance materials from the New York State Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the World Health Organization so network agency staff and clients can remain safe and informed, while continuing to provide services with minimal disruption.

NYC Dept. of Health & Mental Hygiene
•Register to attend a COVID-19 Vaccine Community Conversation for discussions about the COVID-19 vaccine, vaccine side effects, who is currently eligible to be vaccinated and how to make an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine. Experts will be on hand to answer questions.
•Register to attend a DOHMH COVID-19 Vaccine Train-the-Trainer event for organizations and partners providing health education and navigation to communities disproportionately affected by COVID-19. These are 60-minute sessions featuring a presentation and Q&A. Expert presenters will share information about the COVID-19 vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine resources and how to respond to community members’ questions about getting vaccinated.
•Host a town hall for your organization or request a speaker or other resources. Organizations can submit questions or feedback on the COVID-19 vaccine and vaccine rollout to the NYC Health Department, or request an NYC Health Department speaker to present at an event and share COVID-19 resources.
